JXL Terms and Conditions JXL (referred to as the company) undertakes to hire vehicle(s) to the client (the person or organization paying for the service) for a period of hire, under the following terms and conditions. We will agree a price for the work and a payment method with the client and confirm this by e-mail if requested. Payment. Payment may be either; 1. Settlement in full on completion of the job either by cash, charge card or credit card. Please note there is a 3% surcharge for use of credit cards imposed by the banks. 2. Deposit paid prior to the booking and balance paid on completion as above. 3. With prior agreement work can be invoiced directly. (New clients may need to open an account). All prices exclusive of VAT charged at 17.5% The following terms apply; 4. Any variations to the journey originally agreed between the company and the client may incur additional costs if extra mileage or time is required. 5. Additional costs such as car parking, congestion charges and tolls will be added to the total amount where they have been incurred. Every effort will be made to advise of their likelihood when agreeing a price. Receipts will always be made available where possible. 6. We reserve the right to alter the vehicle or chauffeur. 7. We reserve the right to alter our charges. 8. Every effort will be made to arrive on time for both collection and destination. The company shall not be held responsible or liable for any delays and /or consequential losses that occur beyond its control. 9. Any suggestions for journey times between locations are merely that and the company cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies, (see 8 above) 10. The driver will take the most appropriate route on the day unless instructed otherwise by the client when clause 4 may apply. 11. Although vehicles are fully insured for passengers and third parties under UK law clients personal property is carried entirely at their own risk and the company shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage of such property. 12. There is a no smoking policy for all JXL vehicles. 13. The company reserve the right to refuse to carry passengers who are thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and whose behavior poses a threat to the driver, vehicle or other passengers. 14. The use of drugs other than prescription is strictly forbidden. 15. In the event of cancellation deposits are non refundable. 16. The company reserve the right to amend, change, delete or add to these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. 17. When booking with JXL you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions. 18. Clients statutory rights are not affected.
